Seit Wochen warten und hoffen nicht nur die Juden, sondern Tausende treuer Katholiken in Deutschland—

Ist nicht diese Vergötzung der Rasse und der Staatsgewalt,

Isn’t this idolization of race and state power,

die täglich durch Rundfunk den Massen eingehämmert wird, eine offene Häresie?

hammered daily into the masses by radio broadcast, an open heresy?

Ist nicht der Vernichtungskampf gegen das jüdische Blut eine Schmähung der Allerheiligsten Menschheit

Isn’t the war of annihilation against Jewish blood a blasphemy of the Most Holy Humanity

unseres Erlösers, der allerseligsten Jungfrau und der Apostel?

of our Redeemer, the most blessed Virgin and the Apostles?

Steht nicht dies alles im äußersten Gegensatz zum Verhalten unseres Herrn und Heilands?

Doesn’t this all stand in stark contrast to the behavior of our Lord and Savior?

Und ist es nicht ein schwarzer Flecken in der Chronik dieses Heiligen Jahres,

And is it not a black spot in the chronicle of this Holy Year,

das ein Jahr des Friedens und der Versöhnung werden sollte?          

which should become a year of peace and reconciliation?

Wir alle, die wir treue Kinder der Kirche sind und die Verhältnisse

We all, we who are loyal children of the Church and who look at the situation

in Deutschland mit offenen Augen betrachten, fürchten das Schlimmste

in Germany with open eyes, fear the worst
